METAL CHIPS CONVEYANCE SYSTEM

FEATURES

The chief innovative concept of the system is based on the criterion of conveying metal chips through a straight collector tube impelled by a rotating screw operating along the entire lenght of the tube.
  • The operating features of the centralized system can be performed on any morphology of metal chips (dust and short comma metal chips, broken and short helices metal chips, long conical helices metal chips, long tangled ribbons) and for all metal materials for industrial use.
  • During transport the metal chips undergo a different degree of compaction according to its morphology with a consequent reduction in volume.
  • The metal chips are collected at the conveyor discharge of each machine tool and horizontally or vertically conveyed to a main duct, which has the function of transporting the metal chips to a centralized container even located outside the factory.
  • When lubricating-cooling fluid is present, the separation of the metal chips from the fluid is carried out in suitably positioned pre-filtration devices in the horizontal ducts at ground level.
  • The compaction of the metal chips makes it possible to utilize ducts with highly reduced transversal sections, thus enabling narrow spaces to be used for the installation of the entire system.
  • No underground channels are necessary since the entire system can be installed above ground with overhead horizontal ducts placed at a height that will not hamper the movement of the bridge crane.
